Bellaire Private Lessons

Derek and Damon Sonnier have been band directors and private instructors since 1993. They have enjoyed starting and growing band programs for students and schools in Houston and surrounding areas. Their experience and knowledge of arranging can give the smallest group a broad sound.

They have performed in groups of different styles and at a variety of venues including the Houston International Festival, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, City of Houston’s July 4th and New Year’s Eve celebrations, Cynthia Woods Pavilion, Arena Theatre, Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Astrodome to name a few.

They have opened for nationally known artists, including Kenny Loggins, Aerosmith, Chuck Berry, Lyle Lovett and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Their most memorable performance was playing with J.D. Sumner and the Stamps, Elvis Presley’s original male vocal group. Derek has performed with Frankie "Sea Cruise" Ford and Damon has performed on The Debra Duncan Show. They are a part of Twins & Friends and Ezra Charles and the Works.
